چکیده
This study investigated the impacts of climate change on hydrology Upper Awash Basin, Ethiopia. A soil and water assessment tool (SWAT) model was calibrated validated against observed streamflow using SWAT CUP. The Mann–Kendall trend test (MK) used to assess trends. Meteorological drought (SPEI) hydrological (SDI) were also investigated. Based ensemble mean five global models (GCMs), projected increases in annual maximum temperature over period 2015–2100 (compared with a 1983–2014 baseline) range from 1.16 1.73 °C, while minimum between 0.79 2.53 °C. Increases precipitation 1.8% at Addis Ababa 45.5% Hombole area. High (Q5) declines all stations except Ginchi. Low flows (Q90) decline Q90 equaling 0 m3 s?1 (i.e., 100% reduction) some gauging (Akaki Hombole) for individual GCMs. SPEI confirmed significant past, frequency severity will increase future. basin experienced conditions that varied modest dry periods very severe 1986 2005. SDI ranges modestly wet conditions. Climate would enhance seasonal variations Both seasons seasons. These changes are likely have an impact agricultural activities other human demands resources throughout require implementation appropriate mitigation measures.

Climate Change Impacts on Streamflow and Subbasin-Scale Hydrology in the Upper Colorado River Basin
In the Upper Colorado River Basin (UCRB), the principal source of water in the southwestern U.S., demand exceeds supply in most years, and will likely continue to rise. While General Circulation Models (GCMs) project surface temperature warming by 3.5 to 5.6°C for the area, precipitation projections are variable, with no wetter or drier consensus. We assess the impacts of projected 21(st) centu...
